Carolyn's passion for all things princess began as a young child when she fell in love with fairytale stories such as Cinderella, The Little Mermaid and Swan Lake! She spent much of her young life training for a career in ballet, while also studying piano, cello and classical voice. In her college years, Carolyn pursued newfound passions in theatre, business and costume design. Sew Classy Princess Parties was born out of her love for the performing arts, beautiful costumes and fairytale magic!

Carolyn's credits include character performer roles at Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando, professional dancer with with the Fort Wayne Ballet, People's Dance Company, Ballet Theatre of Central PA and Eclipse Dance Company, theatrical productions with the Brandywiners, the Broadway Theatre of Pitman, Milburn Stone Theatre, the Everett and the Delaware Childrens Theatre. Favorite roles include the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Etcetera in Cats, Grace Farrel in Annie, and title roles in The Firebird, Cinderella and Snow White

She has enjoyed working with children for over 15 years, teaching both dance and musical theatre at the Mid-Atlantic Ballet, Releve Dance Academy, Cecil Dancenter and other local studios. She has choreographed over a dozen musicals for the Delaware Children's Theatre.

She attributes her sewing expertise to her mom, who taught her to design and create garments as a child. Carolyn now sells her own handmade couture costumes, a princess inspired swimwear line and custom styled wigs in her Etsy shop, Sew Classy Designs. She also offers the purchase of a handmade couture gown as a dream-come-true gift that can be added to your party package.

Carolyn has personally designed Sew Classy's party packages to incorporate the joy and grace of dance, storytelling and beautiful music. She has a passion for teaching life lessons that can be found in so many of the beloved fairytales such as kindness, chivalry, bravery and friendship.

When not entertaining as a princess or costume designing, Carolyn homeschools her six year old son, Prince Cedric, and cares for her new baby daughter, Princess Natalie. She runs her company from home, with the help of her husband, King Dan, her Office Pixie, Julie, and Sew Classy's amazing cast of performers!

Carolyn hopes to inspire other moms, students and entrepeneurs to turn their dreams into reality. She recently spoke to University of Delaware hospitality students about overcoming obstacles in entrepeneurship. Carolyn has built her business from the ground up, without a college degree or any formal business training. She would welcome future opportunities to present motivational speeches for youth and adults.
